HomeMy Public PortalAbout14333 Sherwyn Sanitary Relief (SKME-651) and II Reduction (10754)ORDINANCE NO. 14333 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Sherwyn Sanitary Relief (SKME-651) and I/I Reduction (10754) in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20391 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is One Million Five Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($1,536,513.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($113,487.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Sherwyn Sanitary Relief (SKME-651) and I/I Reduction (10754) in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20391 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Sherwyn Sanitary Relief (SKME-651) and I/I Reduction (10754) in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of January 2016. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on March 10, 2016.
