AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Seven Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from the General Fund and Two Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($250,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for repair and
replacement of manholes, sewers, and other infrastructure in Infrastructure Repairs
(Sanitary/Combined – FY2016) (11705) in the Metropolitan Sewer District Service Area; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds for small infrastructure repair projects to
be bid through Purchasing.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14136, adopted August 13, 2015, appropriated the
initial funding for Infrastructure Repairs (Sanitary/Combined – FY2016) (11705); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the General Fund and Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for repair and
replacement of manholes, sewers, and other infrastructure in Infrastructure Repairs
(Sanitary/Combined – FY2016) (11705) in the Metropolitan Sewer District Service Area.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds
for repair and replacement of manholes, sewers, and other infrastructure in Infrastructure Repairs
(Sanitary/Combined – FY2016) (11705) in the Metropolitan Sewer District Service Area, and
shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on May 12, 2016.
