AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Ten Million Dollars
($10,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined sewer
construction in Maline Creek CSO BP 051 & 052 Local Storage Facility (Chain of Rocks Dr to
Church Dr) (11656) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20375 with SAK/Goodwin Joint Venture for combined sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is Eighty-Two Million
Eight Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($82,828,282.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Million Three
Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($3,371,718.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Years
2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 (FY2017, FY2018, FY2019, FY2020) for Seventy-Six Million Two
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($76,200,000.00), providing a total appropriation amount of Eighty-
Six Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($86,200,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer construction in Maline
Creek CSO BP 051 & 052 Local Storage Facility (Chain of Rocks Dr to Church Dr) (11656) in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20375 with SAK/Goodwin Joint Venture as the lowest responsible bidder for combined sewer
construction in Maline Creek CSO BP 051 & 052 Local Storage Facility (Chain of Rocks Dr to
Church Dr) (11656) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 10th day
of March, 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on May 12, 2016.
