AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars
($295,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Forcee Lane Storm Sewer (10360) in the City
of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20419 with KJU dba KJ
Unnerstall Construction Co. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Thirty-
Nine Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five and 80/100 Dollars ($239,345.80) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-Five Thousand Six Hundred
Fifty-Four and 20/100 Dollars ($55,654.20); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars
($295,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Forcee Lane Storm
Sewer (10360) in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20419 with KJU dba KJ Unnerstall Construction Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for
storm sewer construction in Forcee Lane Storm Sewer (10360) in the City of Ladue, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of April 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 9, 2016.
