AN ORDINANCE, awarding a contract to Zurich (Steadfast) Insurance Company
(McGriff, Seibels & Williams of Missouri Inc., agent) for the District’s Blocked Main and
Overcharged Line Backup Insurance coverage from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Zurich (Steadfast) Insurance Company (McGriff, Seibels &
Williams of Missouri Inc., agent) who submitted a combined quote for the District’s Block Main
and Overcharged Sewer Line Backup Insurance coverage, with an aggregate retention of Seven
Million Dollars ($7,000,000.00) for the time period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, for
overcharged sewer lines and blocked mains; an aggregate and limit of Seventeen Million Dollars
($17,000,000.00) in excess of claims; and the District’s Overcharged Sewer Line Backup
Insurance coverage with the same policy aggregate and limit as hereinabove stated, and a per
claim limit of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) with a One Hundred Dollar ($100.00)
deductible per claim; at a combined premium of Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars
($357,000.00) for such policy period is hereby awarded the contract for such insurance coverage
from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 9, 2016.
