AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($110,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal in Midland
Sanitary Relief – Public and Private I/I Reduction Part 2 (11663) in the Cities of Overland and
Breckenridge Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20427 with Fred
M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Ninety-Nine Thousand Five
Hundred Eighty Dollars ($99,580.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Ten Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Dollars ($10,420.00); and
WHEREAS, this is the second phase of the project to remove private I/I from
additional homes; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal in Midland
Sanitary Relief – Public and Private I/I Reduction Part 2 (11663) in the Cities of Overland and
Breckenridge Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20427 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Midland Sanitary Relief – Public and Private I/I Reduction Part 2 (11663) in the
Cities of Overland and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 12th day
of May 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on July 14, 2016.
