AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal in
Sappington Creek I/I Reduction (Gravois Rd and Sappington Rd) (11990) in the Cities of Sunset
Hills and Crestwood, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20426 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private
I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Two Hundred Eighty-Four
Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars ($284.365.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars
($15,635.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal in Sappington
Creek I/I Reduction (Gravois Rd and Sappington Rd) (11990) in the Cities of Sunset Hills and
Crestwood, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20426 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Sappington Creek I/I Reduction (Gravois Rd and Sappington Rd) (11990) in the
Cities of Sunset Hills and Crestwood, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 17th day of May 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on July 14, 2016.
