AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($100,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Coldwater Creek to be used for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Lackland
I/I Reduction Part 2 (11712) in the Cities of Overland, Sycamore Hills, St. John, and Charlack,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20440 with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
One Million Three Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-One Dollars
($1,362,851.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
One Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars ($187,149.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of One
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in Lackland I/I Reduction Part 2 (11712) in the Cities of Overland,
Sycamore Hills, St. John, and Charlack, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20440 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Lackland I/I Reduction Part 2 (11712) in the Cities of
Overland, Sycamore Hills, St. John, and Charlack, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the
14th day of July 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 15, 2016.
