AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($1,630,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and One Million Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($1,070,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for private I/I removal and storm sewer
construction in McNulty – Pallardy I/I Reduction Part 2 (11662) in the Cities of St. John,
Woodson Terrace, and Berkeley, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20439 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Two Million Four Hundred One Thousand Three Hundred Six Dollars ($2,401,306.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Ninety-
Eight Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Four Dollars ($298,694.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($1,630,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of One
Million Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,070,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in McNulty – Pallardy I/I Reduction Part 2 (11662) in the Cities of
St. John, Woodson Terrace, and Berkeley, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20439 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in McNulty – Pallardy I/I Reduction Part 2 (11662) in the
Cities of St. John, Woodson Terrace, and Berkeley, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the
19th day of July 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 15, 2016.
