AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer rehabilitation
in Suburban Public I/I Reduction (Harrison Dr and Suburban Ave) (12473) in the Cities of
Ferguson and Kinloch, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20424 with
Insituform Technologies USA, LLC for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Three
Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Four and 54/100 Dollars ($2,368,004.54) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty One Thousand
Nine Hundred Ninety-Five and 46/100 Dollars ($131,995.46); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Suburban Public I/I Reduction (Harrison Dr and Suburban Ave) (12473) in the
Cities of Ferguson and Kinloch, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20424 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Suburban Public I/I Reduction (Harrison Dr and Suburban Ave)
(12473) in the Cities of Ferguson and Kinloch, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 29th
day of June 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 15, 2016.
