AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (12438) in the Cities of
Overland, University City, and Vinita Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20415 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is One Million Eight
Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Nine and 47/100 Dollars ($1,861,579.47)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Eight
Thousand Four Hundred Twenty and 53/100 Dollars ($88,420.53); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,950,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (12438) in the Cities of
Overland, University City, and Vinita Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20415 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (12438) in
the Cities of Overland, University City, and Vinita Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on
the 13th day of July 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 15, 2016.
