AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements in
Hollenberg Pump Station (P-713) Replacement (12306) in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20462 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the
aforesaid pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Four Hundred Ten
Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Dollars ($410,840.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Nine Thousand One Hundred Sixty Dollars
($39,160.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station improvements in
Hollenberg Pump Station (P-713) Replacement (12306) in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20462 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Hollenberg Pump Station (P-713) Replacement (12306) in the City of
Bridgeton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 18th day of August 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on October 13, 2016.
