AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars
($135,000.00) from Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Coldwater
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Busiek Ave. #8044 Storm Sewer (10359) in the
City of Berkeley, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20444 with
Gaehle Grading, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Sixty-Nine Thousand
Four Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($69,432.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Sixty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars
($65,568.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars
($135,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek for storm sewer construction in Busiek Ave. #8044
Storm Sewer (10359) in the City of Berkeley, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20444 with Gaehle Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Busiek Ave. #8044 Storm Sewer (10359) in the City of Berkeley, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 26th day of July 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on October 13, 2016.
