AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($470,000.00) from Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Coldwater
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Everman – Tennyson Storm Sewer (11036) in
the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20457 with
Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Four Hundred Twenty-
Four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($424,889.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Five Thousand One Hundred
Eleven Dollars ($45,111.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($470,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Coldwater Creek for storm sewer construction in Everman – Tennyson Storm Sewer (11036)
in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20457 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Everman – Tennyson Storm Sewer (11036) in the City of Overland,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 17th day of August 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on October 13, 2016.
