AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Two Hundred Thirty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($2,235,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) – Contract C (12050) in the Cities of
Webster Groves and St. George, the Village of Marlborough, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20432 with SAK
Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million One
Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Two and 80/100 Dollars ($2,128,452.80)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Six
Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Seven and 20/100 Dollars ($106,547.20); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Two Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($2,235,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) – Contract C (12050) in the Cities of
Webster Groves and St. George, the Village of Marlborough, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20432 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) – Contract C (12050) in the Cities of
Webster Groves and St. George, the Village of Marlborough, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 27th day of July 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on November 10, 2016.
