AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in Baden Creek Extension (BP-001) – I/I Reduction (11777) in the
Cities of Pine Lawn, Northwoods, Norwood Court, and Pasadena Hills, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20492 with J.M. Marschuetz Construction for
the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Two Million Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($2,215,561.00)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred
Thirty-Four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars ($234,439.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($2,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Baden Creek Extension (BP-001) – I/I Reduction
(11777) in the Cities of Pine Lawn, Northwoods, Norwood Court, and Pasadena Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20492 with J.M. Marschuetz Construction, as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Baden Creek Extension (BP-001) – I/I Reduction
(11777) in the Cities of Pine Lawn, Northwoods, Norwood Court, and Pasadena Hills, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of October 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 8, 2016
