AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Sixty Thousand
Dollars ($1,560,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
C (12025) in the Cities of Bel-Ridge, Edmundson, Overland, and St. Ann, and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20471 with SAK
Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is One Million Four
Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Seven and 54/100 Dollars
($1,475,427.54) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Eighty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Two and 46/100 Dollars ($84,572.46); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($1,560,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
C (12025) in the Cities of Bel-Ridge, Edmundson, Overland, and St. Ann, and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20471 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
C (12025) in the Cities of Bel-Ridge, Edmundson, Overland, and St. Ann, and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of October 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 8, 2016
