AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million One Hundred Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($2,170,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract A (12048) in the Cities of Bella
Villa, University City, City of St. Louis, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20461 with SAK Construction, LLC for the
aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Sixty-
Nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Eight and 25/100 Dollars ($2,069,628.25) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thousand
Three Hundred Seventy-One and 75/100 Dollars ($100,371.75); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($2,170,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract A (12048) in the Cities of Bella
Villa, University City, City of St. Louis, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20461 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract A (12048) in the Cities of Bella
Villa, University City, City of St. Louis, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 28th day of September 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
