AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($740,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Graham Rd 100 – 232 Sanitary Sewer (12719) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20483 with Above and Below Contracting,
LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Six Hundred Sixty-
Four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($664,789.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Five Thousand Two Hundred
Eleven Dollars ($75,211.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($740,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in
Graham Rd 100 – 232 Sanitary Sewer (12719) in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20483 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer construction in Graham Rd 100 – 232 Sanitary Sewer (12719) in the City of
Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 29th day of September 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
