AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,200,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements
in Lemay Pump Stations 1 And 2 Improvements (12488) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20478 with Sachs Electric Co. for the
aforesaid pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Three Million Six
Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,662,500.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($537,500.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station
improvements in Lemay Pump Stations 1 And 2 Improvements (12488) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20478 with Sachs Electric Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Lemay Pump Stations 1 And 2 Improvements (12488) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 6th day of October 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
