AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($640,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Coldwater
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Brown Road to Eminence Blvd. Storm
Improvements (10540) in the City of St. John, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20488 with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Five Hundred Eighty-
Nine Thousand Sixty-Two Dollars ($589,062.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Fifty Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars
($50,938.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($640,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of
Coldwater Creek for storm sewer construction in Brown Road to Eminence Blvd. Storm
Improvements (10540) in the City of St. John, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20488 with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Brown Road to Eminence Blvd. Storm Improvements (10540) in the City of St.
John, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 12th day of October 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
