AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($430,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Gravois
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Lee Ave. #337 Storm Sewer (10006) in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20482 with Kolb
Grading, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Ninety-
Five Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($395,450.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Dollars
($34,550.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($430,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek for storm sewer construction in Lee Ave. #337 Storm Sewer (10006) in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20482 with Kolb Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Lee Ave. #337 Storm Sewer (10006) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 27th day of September 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on November 10, 2016.
