AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
($575,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
and private I/I removal in Claverach Park I/I Reduction and Sewer Separation Part 2 (11115) in
the City of Clayton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20503 with Kolb
Grading, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is
Four Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand One Hundred Forty-One and 50/100 Dollars
($497,141.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Seventy-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Eight and 50/100 Dollars ($77,858.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
($575,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal in Claverach Park I/I Reduction and Sewer Separation Part 2
(11115) in the City of Clayton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20503 with Kolb Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal in Claverach Park I/I Reduction and Sewer Separation Part 2
(11115) in the City of Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 15th day of November
2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on January 12, 2017.
