AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($325,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Florissant I/I Reduction Part 2 (11748) in the Cities of Florissant,
Hazelwood, and the Village of Calverton Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20499 with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Two Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($237,315.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Seven Thousand
Six Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars ($87,685.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($325,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Florissant I/I Reduction Part 2 (11748) in the Cities of
Florissant, Hazelwood, and the Village of Calverton Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20499 with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in Florissant I/I Reduction Part 2 (11748) in the Cities of
Florissant, Hazelwood, and the Village of Calverton Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on
the 3rd day of November 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on January 12, 2017.
