AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($18,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Forty-Two Thousand Dollars ($42,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for
private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Rock Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) Part
2 (11069) in the Cities of Kirkwood and Rock Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20495 with Enterprise Sewer & Drain for the aforesaid private I/I removal and
storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Forty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($47,499.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twelve Thousand Five Hundred One
Dollars ($12,501.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($18,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Forty-Two Thousand Dollars
($42,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Rock
Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) Part 2 (11069) in the Cities of Kirkwood and Rock Hill,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20495 with Enterprise Sewer & Drain, as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Rock Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) Part 2 (11069)
in the Cities of Kirkwood and Rock Hill, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 2nd day of
November 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on January 12, 2017.
