AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Ladue Subtrunk Sanitary Relief (SKME-654) (11714) in the Cities of
Creve Coeur, Ladue, and Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20502 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Four Hundred Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars ($413,697.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand
Three Hundred Three Dollars ($36,303.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Ladue Subtrunk Sanitary Relief (SKME-654) (11714) in the Cities of
Creve Coeur, Ladue, and Olivette, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20502 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Ladue Subtrunk Sanitary Relief (SKME-654) (11714)
in the Cities of Creve Coeur, Ladue, and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 29th
day of November 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
