AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety-Eight Thousand Dollars ($98,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Clayton Central and Two
Million One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Dollars ($2,152,000.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Lemay
Watershed I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek (11716) in the Cities of Clayton and Richmond
Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20521 with Pangea, Inc.
dba Pangea Group for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Two Million Sixty-One Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Eight and 65/100 Dollars ($2,061,558.65)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Eighty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Forty-One and 65/100 Dollars ($188,441.35); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety-Eight Thousand Dollars ($98,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Clayton
Central and the sum of Two Million One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Dollars ($2,152,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Lemay Watershed I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek (11716) in the
Cities of Clayton and Richmond Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20521 with Pangea, Inc. dba Pangea Group, as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Lemay Watershed I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek
(11716) in the Cities of Clayton and Richmond Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on
the 14th day of December 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
