HomeMy Public PortalAbout14603 University City II Reduction East (UR 10) (11983)ORDINANCE NO. 14603 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal in University City I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (11983) in the Cities of University City, Vinita Park, and Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20508 with Pangea, Inc. dba Pangea Group for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($152,878.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($17,122.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal in University City I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (11983) in the Cities of University City, Vinita Park, and Overland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20508 with Pangea, Inc. dba Pangea Group, as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in University City I/I Reduction – East (UR-10) (11983) in the Cities of University City, Vinita Park, and Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 30th day of November 2016. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
