AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($180,000.00) from Operation, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Abston and Airport Storm Sewer (11274) in the
City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20522 with
Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Forty-
Three Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Dollars ($143,960.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand Forty Dollars ($36,040.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of
Maline Creek for storm sewer construction in Abston and Airport Storm Sewer (11274) in the
City of Ferguson, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20522 with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Abston and Airport Storm Sewer (11274) in the City of Ferguson, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 15th day of December 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
