AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($950,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction in
Berkridge Drive and Frost Avenue Phase III Storm Sewer (11182) in the Cities Berkeley and
Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20501 with Pavement
Solutions, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Seven Hundred Ninety-
One Thousand Forty-Four and 30/100 Dollars ($791,044.30) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred
Fifty-Five and 70/100 Dollars ($158,955.70); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($950,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund for storm sewer construction in
Berkridge Drive and Frost Avenue Phase III Storm Sewer (11182) in the Cities Berkeley and
Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20501 with Pavement Solutions, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder storm sewer
construction in Berkridge Drive and Frost Avenue Phase III Storm Sewer (11182) in the Cities
Berkeley and Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 16th day of November
2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
