AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Eight Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($800,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of University City to be used for repair and replacement of inlets, manholes,
sewers, and other infrastructure in Stormwater Infrastructure Repair/Replacement – University
City OMCI (12608) throughout the University City Watershed; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
appropriate additional funds for small infrastructure repair projects to be bid through purchasing
for repair and replacement of inlets, manholes, sewers, and other infrastructure.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14211, adopted September 10, 2015, appropriated the
initial funding for Stormwater Infrastructure Repair/Replacement in University City; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($800,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
University City to be used for repair and replacement of inlets, manholes, sewers, and other
infrastructure in Stormwater Infrastructure Repair/Replacement – University City OMCI (12608)
throughout the University City Watershed.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2017.
