AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($140,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($310,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction and private I/I removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk
South I/I Reduction Part 2 (11682) in the Cities of Country Life Acres, Crystal Lake Park, and
Town and Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20531 with
Gershenson Construction Co. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction and private I/I removal is
Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Three Hundred Ten
Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance,
Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for storm sewer construction and private I/I
removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk South I/I Reduction Part 2 (11682) in the Cities of Country
Life Acres, Crystal Lake Park, and Town and Country, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20531 with Gershenson Construction Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction and private I/I removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk South I/I Reduction Part 2 (11682)
in the Cities of Country Life Acres, Crystal Lake Park, and Town and Country, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of January, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on March 16, 2017.
