AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
A (12023) in the City of Sunset Hills and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20504 with SAK Construction, LLC for the
aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Seven
Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-Nine and 86/100 Dollars ($2,726,839.86)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred Sixty and 14/100 Dollars ($123,160.14); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($2,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
A (12023) in the City of Sunset Hills and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20504 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract
A (12023) in the City of Sunset Hills and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 4th day of January, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on March 16, 2017.
