AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater –
Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract F (12617) in the Cities of
Breckenridge Hills, Bridgeton, Edmundson, Overland, St. Ann, Woodson Terrace, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20520 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Eight
Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Four and 97/100 Dollars ($3,822,864.97)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Seventy-Seven Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Five and 3/100 Dollars ($177,135.03); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Bissell –
Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2017) Contract F (12617) in the Cities of
Breckenridge Hills, Bridgeton, Edmundson, Overland, St. Ann, Woodson Terrace, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20520 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Bissell – Coldwater – Missouri – Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2017) Contract F (12617) in the Cities of Breckenridge Hills, Bridgeton, Edmundson, Overland,
St. Ann, Woodson Terrace, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received on the 11th day of January 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on March 16, 2017.
