AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an inter-agency agreement
with Missouri Botanical Gardens to provide education and encourage individual land owners to
implement green infrastructure (a/k/a rainscaping) techniques on their properties in CSO Volume
Reduction Green Infrastructure – Small Grant Rainscaping Program (12447) in the City of
St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13829, adopted June 12, 2014, authorized the First
Agreement with Missouri Botanical Gardens for the Small Grant Rainscaping Program (12447);
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13709, adopted on September 12, 2013, appropriated
the original funding for the Small Grant Rainscaping Program (12447).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an inter-agency
agreement with Missouri Botanical Gardens to provide education and encourage individual land
owners to implement green infrastructure (a/k/a rainscaping) techniques on their properties in
CSO Volume Reduction Green Infrastructure – Small Grant Rainscaping Program (12447) in the
City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; said agreement shall provide for a fee from the
General Fund and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the
Office of the General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2017.
