AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($1,630,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of University City and One Million Eight Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($1,840,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for storm sewer construction and private I/I removal
in Seneca Private I/I Reduction (11059) in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20606 with Pangea, Inc. dba Pangea Group for the aforesaid
storm sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction and private I/I removal is
Two Million Seven Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Two and 01/100
Dollars ($2,777,792.01) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is Six Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Two Hundred Seven and 99/100 Dollars
($692,207.99); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($1,630,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of University City and the sum of One Million Eight Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($1,840,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
for storm sewer construction and private I/I removal in Seneca Private I/I Reduction (11059) in
the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20606 with Pangea, Inc. dba Pangea Group, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction and private I/I removal in Seneca Private I/I Reduction (11059) in the City of
Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of March, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2017.
