AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($380,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Missouri River WWTF Secondary Treatment Electrical/Mechanical
Modifications (12643) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20479 with Guarantee Electrical Company for the aforesaid wastewater
treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Three
Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-One Dollars ($332,981.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Seven Thousand
Nineteen Dollars ($47,019.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($380,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Missouri River WWTF Secondary Treatment Electrical/Mechanical
Modifications (12643) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20479 with Guarantee Electrical Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Missouri River WWTF Secondary Treatment
Electrical/Mechanical Modifications (12643) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of March, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2017.
