AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($150,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Earl Drive Storm Sewer (10383) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20560 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Ninety-Four Thousand
Four Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($94,487.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Fifty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars
($55,513.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of
Maline Creek for storm sewer construction in Earl Drive Storm Sewer (10383) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20560 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Earl Drive Storm Sewer (10383) in Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 28th day of February, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2017.
