AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Laclede Station – Chamberlain Storm Sewer
(11076) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20604 with Taylormade Construction Co., LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Thirteen
Thousand Five Hundred Seven Dollars ($213,507.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars
($36,493.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of
Deer Creek for storm sewer construction in Laclede Station – Chamberlain Storm Sewer (11076)
in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20604 with Taylormade Construction Co., LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Laclede Station – Chamberlain Storm Sewer (11076) in the City of
Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 15th day of March, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2017.
