HomeMy Public PortalAbout14663 Delcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME 565) II Reduction Part 2 (11735) )ORDINANCE NO. 14663 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($239,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($311,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Delcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-565) I/I Reduction Part 2 (11735) in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20644 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is Four Hundred Forty-Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($442,120.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($107,880.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($239,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($311,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Delcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-565) I/I Reduction Part 2 (11735) in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20644 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Delcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-565) I/I Reduction Part 2 (11735) in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of April, 2017. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 8, 2017.
