AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($585,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Martigney I/I Reduction (11661) in Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20665 with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Five Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($555,132.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Nine Thousand
Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($29,868.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($585,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Martigney I/I Reduction (11661) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20665 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Martigney I/I Reduction (11661) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 18th day of April, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 8, 2017.
