AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-One Thousand Dollars ($51,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used
for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Paddock Creek I/I Reduction (Private)
Part 2 (11696) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20664 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Seventy-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($74,942.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Five Thousand Fifty-Eight
Dollars ($25,058.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-One Thousand Dollars ($51,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars
($49,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in
Paddock Creek I/I Reduction (Private) Part 2 (11696) in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20664 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Paddock Creek I/I Reduction (Private) Part 2 (11696) in
the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of April, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 8, 2017.
