AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($330,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Meramec River Basin Subd. #449 for pump station improvements in Lower Meramec Pump
Stations Flood Mitigation (12785) in the Cities of Sunset Hills and Valley Park, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20893 with Kozeny Wagner, Inc. for the aforesaid pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Three Hundred Six
Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($306,825.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Five
Dollars ($23,175.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Meramec River Basin Subd. #449 for pump station improvements in Lower Meramec Pump
Stations Flood Mitigation (12785) in the Cities of Sunset Hills and Valley Park, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20893 with Kozeny Wagner, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Lower Meramec Pump Stations Flood Mitigation (12785) in the Cities of
Sunset Hills and Valley Park, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, pursuant to bids received on
the 18th day of July, 2017.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 14, 2017.
