AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($530,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres for channel stabilization in Cottage #206 Storm
Improvements (10302) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20913 with ABNA Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid channel stabilization.
WHEREAS, the bid for said channel stabilization is Four Hundred Ninety-Two
Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($492,259.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-One
Dollars ($37,741.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($530,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of
Seminary Branch of River Des Peres for channel stabilization in Cottage #206 Storm
Improvements (10302) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20913 with ABNA Engineering, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for channel
stabilization in Cottage #206 Storm Improvements (10302) in the City of Webster Groves,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of July, 2017.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 14, 2017.
