AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($220,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of
Seminary Branch of River Des Peres and Five Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($555,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction in
Big Bend to Papin Storm Sewer Phase I (10035) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21313 with ABNA Engineering, Inc. for the
aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Five Hundred Thirty-
Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($538,999.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand One
Dollars ($236,001.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($220,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres and the sum of Five Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($555,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund for storm
sewer construction in Big Bend to Papin Storm Sewer Phase I (10035) in the City of Webster
Groves, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21313 with ABNA Engineering, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Big Bend to Papin Storm Sewer Phase I (10035) in the City of Webster Groves,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 13th day of September, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on November 9, 2017.
