AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) from
the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used
for storm sewer construction in Markdale Dr. #8571 and 8575 Storm Sewer (11290) in the City
of St. John, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21613 with Gaehle
Grading, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Sixty-Two Thousand
Two Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars ($62,234.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars
($7,766.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek for storm sewer construction in Markdale Dr. #8571 and 8575 Storm Sewer (11290) in the
City of St. John, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have
been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21613 with Gaehle Grading LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Markdale Dr. #8571 and 8575 Storm Sewer (11290) in the City of St. John,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 8th day of November, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 11, 2018.
