HomeMy Public PortalAbout14862 Missouri River WWTF Power Feeder Replacement (12502)ORDINANCE NO. 14862 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($825,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant construction in Missouri River WWTF Power Feeder Replacement (12502) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21631 with Kaiser Electric, Inc. for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Seven Hundred Five Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars ($705,653.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($119,347.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($825,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for wastewater treatment plant construction in Missouri River WWTF Power Feeder Replacement (12502) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21631 with Kaiser Electric, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant construction in Missouri River WWTF Power Feeder Replacement (12502) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 13th day of December, 2017. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 15, 2018.
