AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Harmann Estates Pump Station (P-709) Replacement (12297) in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21637 with Kelpe Contracting, Inc. for the
aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Hundred Fifty-
One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($251,564.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred
Thirty-Six Dollars ($48,436.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in
Harmann Estates Pump Station (P-709) Replacement (12297) in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri;
said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21637 with Kelpe Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Harmann Estates Pump Station (P-709) Replacement (12297) in the City of
Bridgeton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of December, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 15, 2018.
