AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($370,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Prospect Hill Landfill Vertical Expansion Part 2 (11094) in the City of St. Louis and the Village
of Riverview, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21648 with L.
Keeley Construction Company for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Hundred
Twenty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($329,977.00) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Thousand Twenty-Three
Dollars ($40,023.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($370,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Prospect Hill Landfill Vertical Expansion Part 2 (11094) in the City of St. Louis
and the Village of Riverview, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21648 with L. Keeley Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction in Prospect Hill Landfill Vertical Expansion Part 2 (11094) in the City of St.
Louis and the Village of Riverview, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of
January, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted on March 8, 2018.
