AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Six Million Four
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
storm sewer construction in Harlem – Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Improvements from
Basin to Hamilton Trunk) (11770) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to appropriate additional funds for Contract No. 20667 with Bates Utility Company, Inc.
for storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 14664, adopted June 18, 2017, appropriated the initial
funding for and authorized Contract No. 20667; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for storm
sewer construction in Harlem – Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Improvements from Basin to
Hamilton Trunk) (11770) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds
for Contract No. 20667 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., for storm sewer construction in
Harlem – Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Improvements from Basin to Hamilton Trunk)
(11770) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and shall be comprised of such other terms and
conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on April 12, 2018.
